Announcing the 2009 NFBN Scholarship Program

Announcement:

The National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska is pleased to announce the 2009 NFBN Scholarship Program and the immediate release of its application form.

This scholarship program affords five finalists the excellent opportunity to attend an all expense paid trip to the NFBN state convention in Scottsbluff on October 23rd, 24th, and 25th, and the chance to compete for one of five scholarships awarded by the state affiliate and various chapters and divisions, from within the NFB of Nebraska. The National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska will be awarding a $1000 scholarship. In addition, the National Federation of the Blind Lincoln and Omaha Chapters, along with the Nebraska Association of Blind Students will be presenting scholarship awards. Anyone who has ever attended an NFBN convention will be proud to attest to its ability to be a positive, life changing experience.

Any Nebraska student who is blind or visually impaired and who will be attending a post secondary institution and is interested in securing an application for the 2009 NFBN Scholarship Program, may obtain one by visiting the National Federation of the Blind of Nebraska website at www.ne.nfb.org or by contacting their local chapter president or the Scholarship committee Chairman.
